Seabed sampling

Piri Reis owns and operates a wide range of bottom sampling equipment. Free fall gravity corer and Grab samplers can be deployed and retrieved by winch from any vessel in both shallow and deep water. Several others can be operated by hand in shallow water.

The following equipment is available for seabed sampling:
• Free fall gravity corer
• Van Veen
• Peterson
• Shipek
• Box Corers
• Eckman Bottom Sampler
• Short Push Cores

Following geotechnical analyses can be performed and evaluated in our corporate geotechnical lab;

• Grain size analyses (sieve and hydrometer)
• Atterberg limits
• Vane tests
